Adorable Owl Couple Share Sweet Moments on Camera

In a heartwarming display of affection, two young owls have captured the internet’s attention with their adorable cuddles and kisses, proving they are indeed “love birds.”

The owlets were spotted near their burrow in northern Israel, snuggled up together on a tree branch, fluffing each other’s feathers in a tender moment of affection. Israeli photographer Vladimir Kogan, who had been patiently observing the owls for weeks, managed to capture these enchanting images.

Kogan, a native of Israel, spent hours under the hot sun in a remote area of Beit She’an, waiting for the perfect shot. After a few weeks, the owlets grew accustomed to his presence and allowed him to approach close enough to capture these intimate moments.

“There were seven fledglings in total, but these two were inseparable,” Kogan shared. “After spending so much time watching them, I got to know their personalities. These two were especially affectionate.”

In the series of photos, the owlets can be seen lovingly pecking at each other on a branch near their nest. In one particularly endearing shot, one of the owls appears to be floating away in bliss as the other gives it a gentle peck on the cheek.

Kogan described the experience as magical, saying, “It took me a few days to set up a good spot to shoot from. I placed a tree branch where I thought they might land, and luckily, I was rewarded with some great shots.”

The young owls spent nearly ten minutes grooming each other, completely at ease with Kogan’s presence. “By the end, they were so used to me that they just went about their business, allowing me to photograph them freely from just ten meters away.”

Though Kogan grew attached to the little owls, he knew their time together was limited. “It wasn’t long before they left their nest, but I’m grateful for the time I had to capture these special moments.”

These photos serve as a beautiful reminder of the bond shared between these charming creatures and the patience required to witness such fleeting, tender moments in nature.
